Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Arlington, VA. The OR RN will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with the surgical team while adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Requirements include 1 year OR RN experience, Virginia RN license, BLS, and preferred ACLS/PALS or CNOR. Travel pay package includes competitive pay, benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes.
