Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse in Hudson, Florida for an 13-week assignment. The role requires RN experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties. The position involves 40 hours weekly, 8-hour days in the operating room.

Responsibilities include assisting surgical staff, managing medications, patient education, and ensuring correct procedures. Must have ACLS and BLS certifications and 2 years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; 2 years of OR experience preferred.
• Travel RN role for Hudson, FL with 8-hour day shifts.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education on medications and home care.
