Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Southport, North Carolina. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties.

The OR Travel Nurse will support the surgical team in pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, follow instructions, and ensure patient safety. Schedule includes 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, with travel benefits and standard travel stipulations.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating/scrub RN or RNFA.
• Active RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating team.
