Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse for an Operating Room position in Crestview, FL. This 13-week travel assignment requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.

It features 10-hour days, 40 hours per week, and an ACLS/BLS/PALS requirement with potential additional certifications. The OR RN will support physicians and staff, provide pre- and post-surgery education, handle medication administration, and serve as a liaison among patients,

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• 2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN preferred.
• RN licensure and additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery education to patients and families.
• Prepare, administer and document medications as prescribed.
• Coordinate communication between patients, family and operating room team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
