Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR Travel Nurse to support a 14-week assignment in Augusta, GA. This travel role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant, with 40 hours per week and 10-hour day shifts.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist surgeons, provide pre- and post-operative education, perform intraoperative duties as circulating or scrub nurse, and adapt to moving between sterile and non-sterile tasks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant
• BLS certification required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Provide perioperative medication administration, documentation and adverse reaction reporting.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating room staff.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physician.
