Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. You will support the surgical team, prep the OR, manage equipment, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

The role requires OR RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR are preferred. Competitive pay and full travel benefits accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment and sterile supplies are ready for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and supplies instruments promptly to maintain workflow.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of significant changes.
• Handles instruments and supplies, ensuring sterilization and proper disposal.
