Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Mammoth Lakes, California. Start date is 10/05/2026 with 36 guaranteed hours per week, featuring 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., three days per week.

Holidays and weekends may apply and one call shift per week is required. Responsibilities include planning patient-centered care for surgical patients, maintaining sterile fields, assisting with instruments, monitoring

Qualifications

• Licensed California RN; active license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years operating room experience.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and implement a patient-centered plan of care for surgical patients, based on nursing diagnoses and standards of care in the OR.
• Maintain a sterile field, anticipate equipment and supply needs, and assist with positioning and instrument handling during procedures.
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and anesthesia-related information; communicate changes to the surgical team.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety, asepsis, and efficient case flow.
• Reassess patient status intra- and post-operatively, adjust the plan of care as needed, and participate in handoffs to PACU/stern teams.
