Job summary
TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Clearlake, California. The OR RN will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, including pre- and post-surgery care and education. Requires 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating/scrub nurse and certifications ACLS/BLS/NRP.
Travel | 13 weeks | 40 hours per week | 10-hour shifts. Candidate must be able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic OR
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse.
- ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required.
- Willingness to travel to Clearlake, CA for assignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
- Serve as communication liaison between patients, families and operating team.
- Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
- Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
