Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel assignment in Mammoth Lakes, CA. This 13-week position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week with 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) three days per week, with on-call coverage as required.

You’ll support orthopedic, general, and ENT cases in a hospital OR, collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to maintain sterility and patient safety, and ensure smooth case flow.

Qualifications

• CA RN license required and valid.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years operating room experience.
• Cerner experience and CNOR preferred.
• Ability to work with OR team in orthopedic, general and ENT cases.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and implement a patient-centered plan of care for surgical patients in the OR.
• Maintain a sterile field, anticipate equipment needs, assist with positioning and instrument handling.
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and anesthesia information; report changes.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safety and efficient case flow.
• Reassess status intra- and post-operatively and participate in handoffs to PACU.
