Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a hospital-based pediatric outpatient clinic. The role requires 1+ year of pediatric OT experience and Epic charting proficiency to support a busy caseload.

The position offers a day shift in a hospital setting with no weekends. BLS and a Wisconsin OT license (or pending) are required. Generous housing and licensure reimbursement are provided for traveling candidates.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• WI state OT license required or pending; license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric OT experience.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
• Experience with pediatric outpatient and rehabilitation facility settings.
• Preferred: experience with autism, cerebral palsy, early intervention, feeding, handwriting, and sensory diet programs.
• Experience with home exercise programs, patient/family education, and plan of care.
• Adult OT experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pediatric outpatient clinic located within a hospital building.
• Dedicated pediatric OT treatment space.
• Clinic caseload includes sensory, fine motor, autism, self-cares, developmental delays, and cerebral palsy.
• Works as part of a pediatric team including a dedicated PT and 2 SLPs.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• No weekends or call required.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Scrubs not required, but Caribbean blue preferred if worn.
• Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration.
• Responsibilities include assessments, reassessments, evaluations, and discharge planning.
• Daily duties include sensory integrative testing/treatment and safety/injury prevention education.
