American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient hospital-based setting serving pediatric and adult patients.

The position offers a four-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 8am-6pm) with a mix of pediatric and occasional inpatient support, access to a warm water pool, and EPIC EMR usage. Open to first-time travelers and requiring CO licensing and references.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience.
• Some pediatric experience required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Active CO PT license or compact PT license required.
• PT license required if applicable.
• Driver's license copy required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates and rehire eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient pediatric PT department with occasional assistance in inpatient acute care.
• Caseload of around 8-10 patients per day.
• Common diagnoses include developmental delay, autism, torticollis, and orthopedic conditions.
• Access to a warm water therapy pool for treatment.
• Supported by a dedicated pediatric PTA.
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour days, Mon-Thu, 8am-6pm.
• Self-scheduling of patients with blocked time for inpatient evaluations and documentation.
• Very occasional weekend on-call requirement.
• No holiday coverage required.
• Uses EPIC EMR system.
• Role involves treating a mix of pediatric and adult outpatients with occasional inpatient support.
• Department orientation provided during the first week of the assignment.
• Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, though initial modules may be completed remotely.
• Scrub or business casual attire accepted.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility.
• Float radius policy applies, requiring travelers to float within their hired zone and secure housing accordingly.
