Job description

BAYADA Home Health is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Travel OT position supporting our Maryland Visits Division. This role involves providing home health services to adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis across offices in the area.

This is a full-time, permanent position with daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties. Assignments are based on divisional needs and may be located in:

• Territory: Anne Arundel County & Calvert County

Requirements include at least one year of clinical experience as a licensed OT, with home health visits and OASIS experience preferred.

As a home care OT, you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team providing rehabilitative and skilled nursing care, enabling clients to remain at home.

Responsibilities:

• Make home visits to clients in designated areas.
• Perform evaluations of patients’ functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication, and ADL/IADL performance.
• Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor performance, developing individualized intervention plans.
• Evaluate the home environment for hazards or barriers.
• Identify equipment needs and environmental modifications.
• Continuously assess and update care plans, collaborating with nursing staff.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitative care and activities.
• Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using electronic devices.

Qualifications:

• Current Maryland OT license.
• Minimum one year of recent OT experience; home care experience preferred but not required.
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computers; EMR experience is a plus.
