Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position at BAYADA Home Health

BAYADA Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Travel OT position. This role involves supporting our Maryland Visits Division by providing home health services to adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis across our offices in the area.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring daytime availability, Monday through Friday. No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties are required. Assignments are based on divisional needs and may be in any of the following office areas:

• Territory: West Baltimore County (BV) & Howard County (BWV)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience as a licensed OT.
• Home health visits and OASIS experience are required.
• Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities include:

1. Making home visits to clients in designated territories.
2. Performing evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, and ADL/IADL performance.
3. Assessing cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects to develop intervention plans.
4. Evaluating home environments for hazards and barriers.
5. Identifying equipment needs and environmental adaptations.
6. Revising care plans and collaborating with nursing staff.
7. Educating patients and families on rehabilitative care and safety.
8. Documenting observations and interventions accurately using electronic tablets.
