Job description

BAYADA Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Travel OT position. This role involves supporting our Maryland Visits Division by providing home health services to adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis across our offices throughout the area.

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring daytime availability, with a Monday through Friday schedule. No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties are required. Assignments are based on divisional needs and may be in any of the following offices and their service areas:

• Territory: Anne Arundel County & Calvert County

Required qualifications include at least one year of clinical experience as a licensed OT, with home health visits and OASIS experience.

As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing, enabling clients to remain at home.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform home visits to clients within designated geographic areas.
2. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, and ADL/IADL performance.
3. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor performance; develop individualized intervention plans.
4. Evaluate home environments for hazards or barriers to independence.
5. Identify equipment needs and environmental modifications to improve outcomes.
6. Continuously assess and update the occupational therapy care plan and collaborate with nursing staff within the multidisciplinary team.
7. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitative activities and safety measures.
8. Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using a touchpad tablet.

Qualifications:

1. Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
2. Minimum of one year recent work experience as an OT.
3. Prior home health and OASIS experience preferred but not mandatory.
4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
5. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency with computers; EMR experience is a plus.
