Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel

BAYADA Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Travel OT position. This role supports our Maryland Visits Division by providing home health services to adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis across our offices throughout the area.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring daytime availability, Monday through Friday. No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties are required. Assignments are based on divisional needs and may be located in any of the following areas:

• Territory: Anne Arundel County & Calvert County

Minimum requirements: at least one year of recent clinical experience as a licensed OT, including home health visits and OASIS experience.

Role Overview

As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to enable clients to remain at home.

Responsibilities

1. Perform home visits in designated geographic areas.
2. Evaluate patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, and ADL/IADL performance.
3. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor performance; develop individualized intervention plans.
4. Evaluate home environments for hazards and barriers.
5. Identify equipment needs and environmental modifications.
6. Continuously assess and update care plans, collaborating with nursing staff.
7. Educate patients and families on rehabilitative activities and safety.
8. Document observations and interventions accurately using electronic tablets.

Qualifications

1. Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
2. Minimum of one year recent work experience as an OT.
3. Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
5. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency with computers; EMR experience preferred.
