Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position at BAYADA Home Health

BAYADA Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Travel OT position. This role supports our Maryland Visits Division by providing home health services to adult and geriatric clients on a per visit basis across various offices in the area.

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring daytime availability, Monday through Friday. No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties are required. Assignments are based on divisional needs and may be in offices serving the following areas:

• Territory: West Baltimore County (BV) & Howard County (BWV)

Qualifications: At least one year of clinical experience as a licensed OT, with home health visits and OASIS experience required.

As a home care Occupational Therapist, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to enable clients to remain at home.

Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits to clients within designated geographic territories.
2. Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, communication skills, and ADL/IADL performance.
3. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor performance, developing individualized intervention plans.
4. Evaluate home environments for hazards or barriers to independence.
5. Identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations to improve outcomes.
6. Continuously assess and update the occupational therapy care plan, collaborating with nursing staff as needed.
7. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitative care and activities to promote health, safety, and independence.
8. Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using a state-of-the-art tablet.

Qualifications:

1. Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
2. Home care experience preferred but not required.
3. Minimum of one year recent work experience as an OT.
4. Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
6. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency with computers; EMR experience preferred.
