Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital in California. The role requires 1+ year of experience and ARRT/NMTCB certification, with California license if applicable and compact license in hand at time of consideration.

You will perform basic nuclear medicine studies, manage a daily caseload of 5–12 patients, and work 4x10 hour days with potential weekend call. Travel and housing support are provided for travelers.

Qualifications

• BLS certification, ARRT, and NMTCB certifications are required.
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration. California license required if applicable.

Requirements

• BLS, ARRT, and NMTCB certification required
• California State License required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
• Daily caseload of 5-12 patients
• Procedures are basic nuclear medicine studies, with most volume from stress tests
• 4x10 hour day shifts, variable start times of 6:00 AM or 7:30 AM
• Weekend call required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Facility may float travelers between sister facilities nearby
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront for consideration, as post-offer requests may not be granted
• Former Providence facility staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
• Navy blue scrubs required for RN staff; scrubs provided for L&D/OR
