American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment in Augusta, ME. CNMT certification and 1+ year of experience are required, with state licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• CNMT certification (NMTCB) or RT registration with NM certification via ARRT.
• State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine required.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care Nuclear Medicine unit.
• Mon-Fri day shift; no weekends, evenings, or call.
• 40 hours per week across 8-hour shifts.
• Review patient history and orders; educate patients on procedures.
• Prepare, administer, and manage radiopharmaceuticals per protocol.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to changes.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
• Position patients and perform imaging; analyze results for quality.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a Nuclear Medicine unit
• Monday-Friday day shift, no weekends, evenings, or call
• 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Uses Allscripts EMR
• Review patient history and physician orders, and educate patients on procedures and equipment
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and medications per protocol
• Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to changes in status
• Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
• Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results for quality issues
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results
