Job summary

Mistras Group is seeking dedicated NDE/RT Assistants willing to travel across the United States to cover projects and turnarounds. The Assistant Technician will support the Level II NDE Technician by performing designated NDT method activities while gaining hands-on experience.

We value safety, quality and a collaborative work environment. Candidates should be prepared for outdoor field work, variable shifts, and periodic out-of-town travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel on short notice and overnight stays.
• Strong communication with clients, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
• Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down of equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, calibrations, and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Assist with proper documentation and reports of services provided.
• Learn and abide by company policies and procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment under supervision where applicable.
• Maintain surveillance and control of radiographic equipment to ensure safety.
