Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 6 months of recent MRI experience to work 4x10 day shifts in a hospital imaging department.

The role requires ARRT MR certification, BLS, and licensure if applicable, with on-call duties and a travel-friendly schedule. Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of MRI Technologist experience
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• ICU vented patients experience preferred
• Strong multitasking ability and patient care focus preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based MRI department with 2-4 scanners in a 400-bed facility
• Uses multiple MRI scanners and EMR systems
• Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:0 AM to 5:30 PM
• Perform neuro imaging, anesthesia and IV sedation cases, and contrast agent administration
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 nights of call per week and 1 call weekend every 6-8 weeks
• Operate MRI equipment and protocols, administer contrast agents, support neuro and sedation cases
• Collaborate with day, mid, and evening techs and overnight coverage handled via call
• Expect 1-2 holidays of coverage per year
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Equipment includes GE Artist 1.5T, Siemens Tim Trio 3T, GE GEM 3T, and GE Signa 1.5T scanners
• Uses Meditech and Centricity EMR systems
• Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:0 AM to 5:30 PM
• Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1 but never guaranteed
• Performs neuro imaging, anesthesia and IV sedation cases, and contrast agent administration
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 nights of call per week and 1 call weekend every 6-8 weeks
• Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment and protocols, administering contrast agents, and supporting neuro and sedation cases
• Team includes 2-3 day shift techs with one in charge, one mid-shift tech, and one evening tech, with overnight coverage currently handled via call
• Expect 1-2 holidays of coverage per year
• Does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
