American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week evening shift at an acute care hospital in Washington. The role requires ARRT MR and ARRT R certifications, BLS, and a WA license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS, ARRT (R), and ARRT (MR) certifications required
• Washington state license required (license required if applicable)
• Experience administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Proficiency with MRI equipment from GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba preferred
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, spinal, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI procedures from setup through scanning and processing
• Communicates with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families regarding imaging procedures
• Maintains daily imaging schedules and assists radiologists as needed
• Operates and maintains MR and auxiliary equipment
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the state
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT MR/R certification for a 13-week evening shift assignment at an acute care hospital.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• Current BLS, ARRT (R), and ARRT (MR) certifications required
• Washington state license required (license required if applicable)
• Experience administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Proficiency with MRI equipment from GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba preferred
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, spinal, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital operating 24/7, providing care for inpatients and outpatients, with 325 staffed beds
• MRI department equipped with a Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T magnet, staffed with 2 technologists on duty at all times
• Operates under ACR imaging and safety guidelines
• Patient care includes adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma populations
• Procedures include abdomen/pelvis imaging, MRA, spine imaging (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum/coccyx), musculoskeletal imaging, and special imaging techniques such as diffusion, gradient echo, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment along with PACS
• Charting system is Epic
• Evening shift schedule of 4x10 hours, Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM-1:00 AM
• No call required
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the state
• Responsibilities include performing MRI procedures from setup through scanning and processing
• Communicates with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families regarding imaging procedures
• Performs contrast injections, quality control, and reporting tasks
• Maintains daily imaging schedules and assists radiologists as needed
• Operates and maintains MR and auxiliary equipment
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
