Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3+ years of experience to work night shifts at a short-term acute care hospital in Missouri.

The role involves operating a 3T Philips and a 1.5T Siemens MRI scanners, performing breast MRI/biopsies, and handling a daily caseload of about 12 patients. Epic charting is required; ARRT MR and BLS certifications are essential, with ARMRIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of MRI Technologist experience.
• ARRT (MR) and BLS certification required; ARMRIT preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Breast MRI and biopsy experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, IV starts.
• Cardiovascular MRI incl. MR Angio, Aortogram, Cardiac preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 180-bed short-term acute care hospital.
• Operate a 3T Philips and 1.5T Siemens MRI scanners.
• Perform breast MRI and breast biopsies along with general MRI exams.
• Handle a caseload of about 12 patients per day.
• Night shifts: 4x10 hours, Mon-Thu, 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM; on-call weekends.
• Use Epic for charting and adhere to facility policies.
• Contribute to MRI exams across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, MSK, cardio.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of MRI Technologist experience

• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with breast MRI and breast biopsy procedures preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Experience with cardiovascular MRI including MR Angio, MR Aortogram, and MR Cardiac preferred

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 180 staffed beds
• MRI department using a 3T Philips scanner and a 1.5T Siemens Sola scanner
• Performs breast MRI and breast biopsies in addition to general MRI procedures
• Average caseload of 12 patients per day
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• On-call requirement of 1 weekend every 6th or 7th week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Perform a wide range of MRI exams including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging
• Black scrub color required
• May participate in holiday and weekend rotation per facility policy
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
• RTO requests should be submitted as early as possible
