Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist for an acute care hospital setting in Washington. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of MRI experience with ARRT MR certification and a WA MRI designation, plus BLS. Experience with adult/pediatric acute care, ICU and ER, and Siemens MRI is preferred.

The role involves 3x12 night shifts (Fri-Sun, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with no on-call requirements. Travel and licensure reimbursements, housing allowance, and health benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience.
• Current BLS and ARRT MR certification required.
• WA State License with MRI designation required.
• Experience in adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, and ER settings.
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and MSK MRI imaging.
• Experience preparing and administering contrast media and starting peripheral IVs.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, and ER/Trauma patient populations.
• 3x12 Night shift schedule covering Fri, Sat, Sun 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment.
• 3 hours of overlapping technologist coverage per shift, supported by MRI-safety trained transporter.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• May float between sister facilities.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Providence-affiliated employees must be separated for 3 months and live outside 50 miles.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate.
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays.
• Submit RTO requests upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated.
• Two supervisory references within last 3 years.

• No on-call requirements

• May be required to float between sister facilities
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous Providence-affiliated employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify, and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
