Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week evening shift assignment. The role involves performing MRI studies across multiple anatomical regions and working with Siemens/GE/Philips systems in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification along with BLS, and a valid license if required. On-call duties and strict adherence to safety, PPE, and holiday coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience required.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required; BLS certified.
• Siemens MRI experience strongly preferred; Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Active license if applicable; ability to work in a hospital MRI setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies across abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and more.
• Operate GE/Philips/Siemens MRI equipment with PACS integration.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE use, and infection control guidelines.
• Work an evening shift 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, with on-call every other week.
• Ensure quality imaging, contrast administration, and patient comfort.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and strong Siemens skills for a 13-week evening shift assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• Strong travel experience required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required, BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Siemens experience strongly preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
• Skilled in isolation precautions and PPE use

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based MRI department serving adult and pediatric patients
• Setting includes adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, pediatric acute care, and pediatric outpatient
• Performs abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI studies
• Special imaging procedures include diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, spin echo, and peripheral MR angiography
• Utilizes GE, Philips, and Siemens MRI equipment along with PACS
• Evening shift schedule, Monday-Friday 2:30 PM-11:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• On-call required every other week from Friday end of shift to Monday 7:00 AM
• Performs a wide range of MRI studies across abdominal, neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging
• Must submit RTO with application and be available to work some holidays
• Pending license accepted at submission but must be active before start date
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted for this position
• Facility conducts an on-site drug screen including marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Hard document deadline is 3 business days prior to start, with some flexibility if communicated in advance
