Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for an outpatient radiology setting.

The role requires Epic charting experience, GE MRI equipment, and expertise in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest and musculoskeletal MRI studies. The 13-week assignment offers a day shift with no weekends or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and BLS required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI studies
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of radiation safety and PPE
• Valid references and copies of certifications required
• Valid state license or certification required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Outpatient MRI setting serving adult and pediatric patients
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating 8-10-11 hour shifts
• 13-week assignment with no weekends or on-call requirements
• Charting system is Epic
• Performs abdominal, pelvic, head and neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI studies
• Uses GE MRI equipment
• Performs special imaging procedures including MRA, MRV, MRCP, diffusion imaging, and image post-processing
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Accepts local candidates within 50 miles at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; RTO requested after submission will not be accepted
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required, which may involve travel of over 100 miles
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of 3 attempts allowed
