Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a facility in Providence, RI. The MRI Tech will operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images, interact with patients, and assist the clinical team to deliver timely results.

This role offers competitive pay and strong clinical support. Required qualifications include completion of a Radiology program with MRI training, at least one year of MRI experience, valid MRI license per state

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology program with MRI specialization.
• One year of experience as an MRI Tech.
• Valid Radiology/MRI license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedure, ensuring safety protocol compliance.
• Educate patients on MRI procedures and answer questions.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality; report malfunctions.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per orders and protocol; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust scanning parameters for optimal results.
• Document all procedure details in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate imaging and timely results.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control and safety policies.
• Follow hospital safety rules including infection control and radiation safety protocols.
