Northwell is seeking an MRI Technologist to prepare patients and perform MRI procedures across a spectrum of body regions. You will set up equipment, obtain informed consent when required, and ensure timely completion of exams under Radiologist supervision.

The role requires NY licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT registration, and a minimum of six months’ radiology experience; MRI experience is preferred.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.) required or MR credential within 18 months for certain postings.
• Minimum of six months experience as Radiology Technologist; MRI experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for examination and explains procedure to relieve anxiety.
• Sets up MRI equipment and administers procedures accurately and timely.
• Screens patient per protocol and ensures consent when required.
• Performs MRI procedures across multiple body areas (abdomen, thoracic, neuro, extremities).
• Positions patient, enters data, and ensures images meet radiologist orders.
• Assists radiologist with IV contrast and monitors patient condition during exams.
• Operates PACS/equipment for image transfer and archiving and troubleshoots minor faults.
