Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist is required.
• New York State certification in IV Contrast Administration within six months of entry date.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) required.
• ARRT registration in MRI (R.T.(R)(MR)(ARRT)) required within 18 months.
• Minimum six months experience as Radiology Technologist; MRI experience preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for examination and explains procedures.
• Sets up equipment and ensures timely procedure execution.
• Screens patient per protocol and obtains consent when necessary.
• Performs MRI procedures across abdominal, thoracic, neurological, and extremity exams.
• Positions patient and enters history to guide scans.
• Operates MRI and transfers images to PACS for radiologist review.
• Assists Radiologist with IV contrast administration.
• Monitors patient condition during exam and reports changes.
• Performs routine calibration checks and minor repairs as needed.
• Assists in scheduling exams and ensuring timely flow of patients.
