Qualifications

• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of Level I trauma experience.

• Siemens equipment experience required; Cerner and McKesson experience preferred.
• Experience starting peripheral IVs and administering contrast media preferred.
• License required if applicable; MO or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies of abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal anatomy.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours; patient ratio 1:1 in adult ICU, pediatric and adult acute care.
• Floating coverage across units; holiday and call/weekend coverage required.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with Level I trauma experience and Siemens equipment proficiency.

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (8:00 PM - 9:00 AM)
• Adult ICU, Pediatric, and Adult Acute Care patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Performs MRI studies of abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal anatomy
• Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, and perfusion preferred
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment
• Charting via Cerner (preferred)
• Mandatory floating required, including coverage as a Patient Observer/Sitter across units
• Holiday coverage required for 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Call and weekend work required

Requirements

Additional Information

• Works in a 24/7 acute care hospital setting exposed to patients with potentially contagious illnesses
• Rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather coverage required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
• Does not accept local candidates residing within 50 miles
• Candidates residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate
• Travelers can work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (up to 9 months), followed by a mandatory 6-month break before returning in an agency capacity
• Re-orientation not required for returning travelers within 18 months
