Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Travel MRI Technologist for a position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role requires 3-5 years of MRI experience, GE and Siemens proficiency, and EPIC EMR familiarity, with on-site responsibilities in a Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI unit and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with imaging team and lead tech/Coordinator for shift support.
• Provide high-quality MRI imaging for inpatients, outpatients, and ED patients.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio and respond to on-call requirements as needed.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and dual-vendor GE and Siemens proficiency for a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center with 933 beds
• MRI unit operating 5 of 6 scanners with a weekly census of 250-300 patients
• Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, whole body, ventilated, and sedated cases; cardiac experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 8-hour evening shift, Monday-Friday 1:30 PM-10:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation up to every 3rd weekend
• On-call Saturday and Sunday nights 9:00 PM-6:30 AM with 30-minute response time, plus backup on-call Saturday and Sunday 6:30 AM-9:00 PM
• No floating required, MRI unit only

Requirements

• 3-5 years of MRI experience required
• BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• License required if applicable
• GE and Siemens equipment experience required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS required
• Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience with most recent experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Support provided by Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; travelers are never alone on shift
• 3 days of orientation provided
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs

• No radius rules; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
