Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT(MR) certification for a Level I trauma hospital.

Details

• Primarily works in a mobile MRI unit at a Level I trauma hospital
• Supports inpatient and outpatient populations
• Performs brain scans including perfusion, functional, and spectroscopy imaging
• Performs body scans including enterography, defecography, musculoskeletal, breast (including breast biopsy), and spine imaging
• MR Cardiac with/without contrast experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating Friday-Sunday call required
• Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system

Requirements

• ARRT(MR) certification required (ARMRIT not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Must shave facial hair to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, MRA, and spectroscopy
• Fluoroscopy permit may be required if applicable
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Previous travelers cannot have worked past 1 year at this facility within the last 6 months
• Candidates within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and candidates may not use their own at this facility under any circumstances
