The ideal candidate has 2+ years of MRI experience, ARRT MR and BLS certifications, and a Washington MRI license (compact license acceptable). Epic EMR experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced procedures such as MRA, MRV, MRCP, CINE, perfusion, spectroscopy and contrast administration.
• Operate Siemens MRI equipment in a near-new unit; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Epic EMR experience required for documentation and workflow management.
• Collaborate with back-up on-call technologists and 24/7 onsite imaging transporter support.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience in adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, and ER MRI imaging.

• Hospital-based MRI unit serving adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, and ER patient populations
• Performs a wide range of MRI studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging
• Special procedures include MRA, MRV, MRCP, CINE, perfusion, spectroscopy, and contrast administration
• Utilizes Siemens MRI equipment with a detachable gantry table in a suite less than 2 years old
• Epic EMR experience required
• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• No on-call requirements, with back-up on-call technologists and 24/7 onsite imaging transporter support available
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the system

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) and BLS certifications required
• Washington state license with MRI designation required; license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Experience with adult and pediatric acute care, ICU, and ER patient populations required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience starting peripheral IVs and administering contrast media preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Former Providence-affiliated perm employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify, and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of application, as post-submission requests may not be accommodated
