Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Travel MIG Welder for a contract assignment in Indianapolis, IN. You will travel to PA as needed to install and weld JLG baskets and A-frames, reading blueprints and ensuring weld quality.

This role requires 3rd shift production welding, use of grinders and measuring tools, and passing welding and written safety tests. Strong attendance and reliability are essential to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding on structural components.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Fabrication knowledge and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on JLG baskets, A-frames, and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to complete tasks.
• Pass and maintain proficiency in a horizontal MIG welding test.
• Complete a written test on welding processes, safety, and quality.
• Use grinders and tape measures to prepare, fit, and finish welds.
• Measure dimensions to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Follow fabrication procedures and quality instructions.
• Inspect welds and adjust to meet safety and quality standards.
• Work on a 3rd shift schedule and maintain strong attendance.
