Job summary

Multimatic in Butler, Indiana is seeking a Weld Repair Operator for 3rd shift to perform MIG weld repairs on metal components, use fixtures and gauges to ensure customer specs, and document production data.

You will label parts, enter information into inventory, follow control plans, maintain a safe, clean work area, and assist with light maintenance as needed. A GED and MIG welding experience are required; AWS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; 2 years related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with MIG welding; AWS certification a plus.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG Weld Repair on metal components using MIG methods.
• Use fixtures and gauging equipment to test and ensure customer requirements.
• Count and label finished components; record production data accurately.
• Enter inventory data using bar coding scanners as required.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow control plans and maintain a clean, safe work area; report quality or safety concerns.
