Job summary

Multimatic in Butler, Indiana, is seeking a Weld Repair Operator to perform MIG repairs on metal components. You will read fixtures and gauges to ensure customer requirements, label finished parts, and record production data accurately.

You will also enter inventory information using bar code scanners and keep the work area clean and safe at all times. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, MIG welding experience, and AWS welding certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Two years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
• AWS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG Weld Repair on metal components.
• Use fixtures, gauges and measuring equipment to verify customer requirements.
• Label finished components and record production data accurately.
• Enter inventory information into the system with barcode scanners.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
• Follow control plans and comply with quality and safety standards.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment and set-up as needed.
• Inspect finished goods per instructions and 6S housekeeping.
