Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to support a client facility in Grand Rapids, MI 49503, Farmington Hills, MI 48336, and Royal Oak, MI. The position is a traveler role with a 26- to 38-week contract, 40 hours per week, and both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, testing, result release, QC/QA, and compliance with CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA. Qualifications include a BS in Medical Technology or related field, ASCP/AMT (preferred), and 1 year of

Qualifications

BS in Medical Technology or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology or AS/AS in Laboratory Science (as applicable).
ASCP or AMT certification preferred or eligible.
Minimum 1 year of clinical lab high-complexity testing experience.
Strong QC/QA knowledge and familiarity with lab operations.

Responsibilities

Perform specimen handling, processing, and testing procedures accurately.
Analyze specimens using approved methods and SOPs.
Review, verify, and release patient test results.
Maintain testing records, QC docs, calibrations and maintenance logs.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and lab safety standards.
Participate in QA procedures and troubleshoot testing issues.
Report STAT and critical results per department policy.
Maintain complete lab records and ensure proper labeling/expiration of reagents.
Engage in training, meetings and safety programs.
