Job summary

Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Oak Park, IL seeks a dependable full-time Medical Assistant Float to support physicians and clinical teams. The role requires travel to designated practice locations based on schedules and operational needs.

Responsibilities include taking history, vital signs, preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, managing supplies, and providing front desk support when needed. AED/EMR familiarity preferred; Monday–Thursday 8a–5p, Friday 8a–1p, every other Saturday.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a healthcare position desired.
• Experience using electronic health records.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Committed to continuous performance improvement.
• Patient-focused with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records.
• Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for exam.
• Sterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure trays.
• Manage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventory.
• Take x-rays.
• Perform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.
• Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.
