Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support in patient care settings. You will take vitals, document patient history, assist providers, and perform health maintenance tasks under supervision.

Regular travel is required between Cheshire, Meriden, Bristol, North Haven, and Southington locations to ensure coverage and operational support. EPIC EMR experience is preferred, and a diploma or CT certification is expected along with BLS.

Qualifications

• Diploma or CT certification required or related experience.
• BLS Provider credential required within 90 days of hire date.
• Credentials must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision, including vitals, history, screenings and health maintenance.
• Perform scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations.
• Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Travel between Cheshire, Meriden, Bristol, North Haven and Southington locations for coverage.
