Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support in patient care. You will perform vitals, health history, screenings and participate in virtual health, under provider supervision.

Responsibilities include scheduling, front desk coverage, chart prep and referrals, plus occasional travel to satellite locations in Farmington, Hartford and Manchester, with credentials such as BLS and CT MA maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT clinical certification.
• CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification or MA externship/experience.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from AHA within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under provider supervision including vitals, screenings, and health history.
• Performs scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations.
• Performs administrative duties and covers front desk as needed.
• Floats to other Hartford HealthCare offices based on business needs.
