Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support in patient care. You will perform vitals, medication reconciliation, chart prep, referrals, and scheduling while assisting providers with procedures and coordinating transportation.

This role may float to other offices as needed. The position requires a Medical Assistant diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification and a current BLS credential, with ongoing maintenance of credentials.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS provider credential from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• All credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care delivery.
• Perform vitals, chart prep, referrals, scheduling and prior authorizations.
• Assist with in-house procedures and coordinate transportation as needed.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
