Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for night shifts in Lewiston, Maine. The assignment lasts 12 weeks with weekly pay and opportunities to work with award‑winning hospital partners nationwide.

You will assist leadership, supervise staff, and provide direct patient care as needed within the Med Surg department. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus at least one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
