Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL. The role requires one year of Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. You’ll work 36 hours per week on a night shift, with travel benefits and a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families clearly.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians during procedures.
• Maintain safe, comfortable environments for patients post-procedure.
• Document vitals, meds, treatments, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with care teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Prioritize care across multiple acutely ill patients based on need.
