Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking an experienced LVN to provide nursing care in a Santa Monica facility, ensuring care aligns with standards, orders, and center policies.

The role emphasizes infection control, quality improvement participation, documentation in PointClickCare, and timely administration of medications and treatments. California LVN license and LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in California.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in SNF/LTC settings preferred.
• Long-term care experience.
• Point Click Care charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Use and apply the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Participate in and support the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilize Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notify departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharges).
• Conduct family and patient education.
• Administer medications timely according to facility policy.
• Administer treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Make rounds with physicians as needed.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in SNF/LTC settings preferred.
