Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week LTAC assignment in Chicago, IL. The RN will provide direct nursing care to high-acuity patients, including ventilator care, wound management, and discharge planning, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include ACLS and BLS certifications and at least 1 year of LTAC or similar experience. Shifts are 12 hours (nights), 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend as part of the pay package.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of LTAC or high acuity experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and nutrition for patients.
