Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in Chicago, IL. This LTAC RN will work 12-hour nights, covering a 36-hour week in a travel assignment with a top healthcare client.

Required: active RN license, 18 months LTAC experience, BLS & ACLS. The role involves vent/trach care, telemetry, and coordinating admissions/discharges in a busy LTAC setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Eighteen months of recent LTAC RN experience.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes and telemetry readings.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 LTAC patients.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Coordinate admissions and discharges in a fast-paced LTAC unit.
