Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care assignment in Milwaukee, WI. The 13-week position requires 36 hours per week, nights, and a travel employment type. Immediate opening with emphasis on LTAC experience and state licensure readiness.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in LTAC or similar high-acuity settings and holds BLS (required) with ACLS as required. You will provide direct nursing care, monitor patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of LTAC RN experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per site policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV meds, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and nutrition for patients.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Document care activities accurately and in real time.
