Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Practical Nurse program.
• No experience required.
• Current North Carolina LPN license or a compact LPN license to begin work.
• BLS and other required life support certifications.
• Ability to use computers and learn new software.
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed and maintain records.
• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a nurse or physician.
• Follow care plans and document patient progress.
• Report patient responses to care to a nurse for evaluation.
• Assist in diagnostic procedures and patient care tasks.
• Support doctors and nurses in delivering care.
