Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool in the Intermediate/Stepdown units. This part-time role offers opportunities to float across Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, and Duke Raleigh Hospital, with a wide range of specialties and a supportive career ladder.

The position requires a Nursing degree, NC RN licensure, and 12 months of recent experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in North Carolina (or multi-state license).
• Twelve months of recent appropriate clinical experience required for Experienced RNs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exemplary care across Intermediate and Stepdown units.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in patient rounds.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:6, based on acuity.
• Units are staffed 24/7 with Charge Nurses, Nursing Care Assistants, and Health Unit Coordinators.
