American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an LPN for a long-term care unit in North Carolina, requiring 2+ years of nursing experience and a valid LPN/LVN license with BLS certification. The role features an evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) in a skilled nursing facility.

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local rates do not apply. Responsibilities include geriatric care with 1:27 patient ratio, admissions/discharges, IV therapy, wound care, and CPAP/BiPAP management.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license required if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Long-term care unit within a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Geriatric patient population with a 1:27 patient ratio.
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours (3:00 PM-11:30 PM).
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed.
• Floating required when department volume is low, including to any campus within the health system.
• Care involves tracheostomy, wound vac, TPN, central lines, IVs, G-tubes, and PROM machines.
• Responsibilities include patient admission and discharge, intake/output monitoring, isolation precautions/PPE, pain assessment and management, and vital sign monitoring.
• Additional skills include wound care, wound vac management, CPAP/BiPAP management, feeding tube care, IV therapy, and medication administration.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local rates do not apply.
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission requests accepted.
