Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med Surg LPN/LVN for a critical access hospital in Pennsylvania. Requires 1+ year of experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

The role includes acute care, telemetry, 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with every other weekend, no on-call requirements, and possible charge responsibilities. Expect duties in Med Surg and telemetry, respiratory support, and line/cardiac monitoring. Travel-ready position with housing allowance and comprehensive benefits; vaccine guidance

Qualifications

• Current PA LPN/LVN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg/telemetry
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Wound care experience preferred (wound vac)
• IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management and starting/maintaining IVs
• Respiratory care experience including BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen administration
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/telemetry experience
• Isolation precautions/PPE experience
• Insulin protocol experience and titration preferred
• Feeding tube care and heparin protocol familiarity preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide acute medical surgical and telemetry nursing care including medication administration and line management
• Monitor and support respiratory status and cardiac monitoring in telemetry unit
• Work in a Medical Surgical unit of a non-profit critical access hospital
• Night shifts 7p-7a with every other weekend required
• May float or assume charge role per policy and experience
• Holiday coverage expected and RTO approvals required

• Current PA LPN/LVN license required at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Basic nursing and medical surgical skills required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips preferred
• Experience with feeding tube care and heparin protocols preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a non-profit, 83-bed critical access hospital
• Acute care medical surgical and telemetry patient population
• Scheduled for 3x12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May be expected to work in a charge role
• May be required to float in rotation with facility staff according to floating policies and experience level
• Uses AHT medication system and CPSI documentation system
• Point Click Care charting experience not required
• Provide acute medical surgical and telemetry nursing care including medication administration, line management, respiratory support, and cardiac monitoring
• Holiday coverage expected
• RTO must be approved before assignment and confirmed in the work order confirmation
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted
• Covid and flu vaccination suggested but not required
